Barrett ate something chocolatey!
Well, I have been canning apricots today, and now I am tired! I got a box from Bountiful Baskets, 21 pounds worth. I had lots of help from my three helpers, but now (of course) the kitchen is a mess, and my energy is gone. But the energy is not as consistent as it used to be, thanks to a little baby BOY growing inside me. Yes, we found out the gender of little one # 4. I was really hoping for a she, but Dexter was meant to come first. And I am really excited to meet baby Dexter. :) Lexi, however, is disappointed, and keeps telling me she is not happy with the gender. :) lol But I know she will love her new baby sibling to bits, and will be a great help taking care of him. She is already planning on helping me give him baths, and feed him a bottle, although I am not sure how the bottle will go over, since my last two have refused to have one. I am a little intimidated by the idea of having 3 little boys close together, but I think mostly it will be fun. And as always, I have complete confidence in Lexi's ability to command the troops! :D Anyway, I am 19 1/2 weeks along, and feeling pretty good. Not sick anymore, mostly just tired. I do get headaches if I overextend myself and do too much in one day. This past Saturday was one of those days, with picking up our Bountiful Basket in the morning, then running to a B-day party, and then running home to get Lexi all ready for her dance recital, which was very lovely and cute, albeit LONG! I had a headache that night and a lingering one the next day!
Kenny has been in T-ball these past two months, and I took a few pictures, of course. And watching him play (i.e. pick the grass and stomp in the dirt) was quite humorous. He loved to bat and run, but wasn't much of an outfielder. At his last game he would just plop down in the dirt and make a bunch of dust, or scrap pictures in the dirt, of pluck at the sparse grass whenever he was in the outfield, he didn't even try to get the ball. My boy is not very competitive, and is completely comfortable with that. As am I. Actually, his indifference to competition is one of the things I really love about him. So mostly, Carl and me laughed our butts off watching games, and cheered Kenny on as best we could! In one play, where Kenny actually got the ball, his hat fell off as he bent to get it. So, instead of throwing the ball to 1st like he should, he tried to put his hat back on, but it kept slipping off (those little guys aren't very adept at replacing their hats), so he spent a good minute (which felt like 5!) trying to put it on while still keeping hold on the ball. Somebody joked that that hit was a home run! :)
Lexi's dance recital was a very nice production, and she got the medal (all the dancers did) that she has been coveting for years! It was fun for both Mommy and Lexi to get her all done up, (even with a twitch of makeup!), for the recital. We curled her hair, which doesn't happen very often since her hair doesn't hold it very well, dressed her up, and took pictures. She looked so cute, sweet and happy. And she danced so well in the recital. We actually had great seats in the 2nd row this time, thanks to a good friend of mine getting our tickets while we were out of town. And so I got a good video, and everything worked out well. We all were very happy with how things went down this time, compared to the Christmas recital when we didn't know what to expect or how things ran, being new and all.
Barrett is getting interested in homeschool, which I find cute and endearing. He was saying he wanted homeschool a couple of days ago, but I couldn't translate. He was getting so frustrated! Then finally it clicked, and I understood! And all was well in the land. :) He is still my cookie monster, and is getting good at climbing to find his plunder in the pantry. I don't care for this development. : /
Here is another mass of pictures!

This doesn't look very comfy to me!
Us on Mt. Graham, having a picnic. Lexi did a good job taking the picture, I'd say!
Lexi's adorable kitty, she dubbed "Brownie"
She really loves her baby. :)

Happy B-day to Lexi!
My kids have a habit of getting in the sink in the clothes and playing. And I guess I have a habit of letting them!
Strawberry rhubarb pie is yummy!
Proof that a cookie monster lives in this house!!!
He took the whole to his bed, ate about three (fell asleep in the midst of #3, to be exact) and went to sleep!
What an adorable cookie monster.
Kenny playing on the Yankee Ghost team!
We made a volcano and a city for it to destroy one day. The volcanoes destructive powers were lacking in, uh . . . destructiveness. Disappointment was all around.
Eh, we still had fun!
My helpers making strawberry rhubarb jam!
I am happy to say my kids love their veggies! (with dip)
Just giving anyone who cares a peek at what I am working on for baby Dexter. I love the star squares!!!
And last, but not least: My little ballerina! She is so cute and lovely, if I do say so myself.
My goofy girl. :)
