We're here.

A quick update. We have been in Safford for a week and a half. The hotel stay while we waited for the movers to bring out stuff was kinda fun, but it did get boring because there isn't much to do in this small town. Still, there seems to be enough. We have scoped out the town, found our church and the temple, played at a nice playground, Visited Roper Lake State Park (as seen in the picture), hung out with my cousin and her to little ones and we are now trying to settle in.

Yesterday as I was making some calls regarding homeschool groups, I was disheartened to discover that the biggest, main (if not only one!) homeschooling group has a statement of faith I have to sign to join. One of the beliefs I have to adhere to in order to sign this statement is "The bible is the only word of God.". Well, obviously I don't feel that way. I feel like the word of God is in many writings. So, I am excluded from this group because of my beliefs. Which is the exact opposite of Christianity of you ask me! I am seriously thinking about starting my own, non-denominational group. But how do I go about doing it??

Anyway, I miss my Oklahomie friends, my garden, my grass, all the fun things to go and do in OK (Science museum, Zoo, malls, lots of different parks) and the MANY different, non-exclusive homeschooling opportunities.

Despite these drawbacks, I know we will be happy and have success here.

If anyone can blaze a trail in a new state, it's you! I'm sorry about the home schooling stuff. Hopefully you can work something out. Keep plugging along, and remember that you're amazing!
