What's Happenin'

Yeah, Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year are over. Yes, it is now the year 2012 and yes school has resumed. And i will have more to say about schooooooool in a moment. But first I must amass on this blog with a legion of pictures to commemorate all the happy memories that happened within the last 2 months.

Drat! These are in reverse order, unfortunately. So frustrating . . .

This is Christmas Day, and we didn't make our yearly pilgrimage to UT as usual, since Carl had to be on call this year. It was kinda sad, but since we knew well in advance we had gotten used to the idea in time. I was a bit lonely though. I was feeling envious of those who live close to family, and still am.

Anyhoo, in the above picture the kidlets are taking tea, as you see. :)

Barrett is so handsome in his tuxedo shirt, if I do say so myself! :)

Lexi got a Rapunzel dress, and she makes a great Rapunzel!

Oh yes, and Barrett got his plunger.

Playing Cooties with Daddy

Christmas Eve we enacted the Nativity. Here are Mary and Baby Jesus.

Christmas Eve Eve :) We made a gingerbread train. It was pretty fun and is still slowly being consumed.

The kidlets are making weird faces. lol! :)

Oh, when I took our family Christmas card pictures, I bribed the kids with chocolate kisses. Here they are showing me how the look chewed up. Delish. :)

This is actually Christmas day too. Well, morning, actually. I don't know why it is down here. :S We had church at 8:00 am on Christmas! Too early!!

We put up the tree the day after Thanksgiving! It looked pretty, but all the ornaments eventually migrated to the upper half of the tree. 10 doomed ornaments bit the dust at the hands of my 15 month old as well. :(

Grampy came to visit for Thanksgiving, and the kidlets took to him extremely well! Here Barrett is playing blocks with him. :)
(It took me a day or two to get used to my dad in a mustache!)

So sweet . . .

Kenny enjoyed reading I Spy with Grampy too!

Here is our Family Christmas card picture. I like the red and black theme, but maybe next year we will mix it up and try something new.

So, Happy New Year to one and all! Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving and Christmas. We did, although we did (and always do) miss family. :(

One final note here, We have officially started homeschooling. More about it later(when I have things figured out).

Cute pictures. I totally didn't recognize your dad. Looks like you had a great Thanksgiving/Christmas. Hope you get to spend next Christmas with family. Being away from family is one thing I'm not looking forward to, if we end up moving out of Utah.

What a great Christmas! It took me a minute to recognize Uncle Kurt with his mustache! Ben had one for about two days this year....not exactly a fan of it! haha! :) I'm excited to hear about homeschooling -- very interesting to me!
