So, going back in time, on the the day before Kenny's B-day, Feb 28th, we went to the Zoo! It was a free day(!) which was fantastic. Highlights were seeing a bunch of Fruit Bats flying all about, a bear scratching his back on a tree, many exotic birds up close and good friends. :)
Next was Kenny's B-day (March 1st), which was lots of fun, albeit crazy. We didn't have a party since Kenny is not good at sharing his toys yet. :) But I made him a Whoopie cake (with Barrett in the sling) which we shared with friends at the park. Highlight of this day: Playing with digger cars in his Raisin Bran cereal, lots of water play (bathtime, water table, stripping down and stting in kitchen sink) and having fun at the park and eating Whoopie Cake!
On Saturday (Mar. 5th) we went to a birthday party at the bowling alley. The kids had a good time, although Kenny had a few majorly grumpy moments since he had just woken up from a much-too-short nap. Lexi was so good at taking turns with the other kids and being kind and considerate. She is so sweet. :) Highlights/stand-outs of this day: Kenny throwing a tantrum because he wanted 2 monster eyes on his cupcake, not 1! Kenny throwing another tantrum because he lost his monster finger puppet party favor (it was found, thank heavens!). Eating awesome Monster cake with blue frosting and Kenny thus growing a blue goatie and Lexi bowling by herself. She did great. :)
On the following Monday we went to the museum on a free day! It was fun and very interesting. Lots of information to take in, and a great kids exploration room. We will definitely be going back frequently since they have free days the first Monday of every month.
Fast forward a week to Monday the 14th which is the day we started Joyschool! I overprepared and didn't do as well as usual. And Barrett started crying and wouldn't stop for about 15 min. at the beginning because Kenny growled really loud right in his face and scared him to death! Poor baby. :( Anyway, the theme was oceans, and it went pretty well, but I hope things go better next time. I hope the kids learned a little bit. :)
Okay, now we are all caught up, here are a plethora of pictures to finish this post up!
I wanted to do a Soda Pop series of photos, and I think they turned out pretty good.
My kids can both touch their noses with their tongues. I am so proud! :D
