Last Post from LA

Allright! Here is my last post from LA. It's 1:11 in the morning and we plan on leaving bright and early in the morning. And I still haven't finished packing a few last minute things! : O

I know, I know, I need to stop dilly-dallying and go to bed.

However, right now I am of the mindset: "Last things first!" (vs. "First things first!")

So . . . These coming pictures are not in the right order. Dumb ol' Blogger puts them on backwards it seems, and I don't know how to fix it. But they from our Utah summer and our small adventures we had after we returned home. But the pictures show from more recent happenings to the Utah summer, instead of the other way around. Blah! Oh well . . .

These first three pictures are from our trip to the La Brea tar pits. A very neat place to visit. We all had a good time! And it was free, since we went on the first Tuesday of the month! :D

Discovering just how hard it would be to get out of the STICKY tar.

Me and my cute kids.

The Mammoth they pulled out of the tar pits.
We went miniature golfing when we got back from UT. Lexi was very anxious to go! And since Lexi and Kenny got a free round from participating in the Library summer reading program, we went.

One of the first things the kids did when we got back was play in their tiny water bucket in front of our apartment. Not as exciting as the Splash Pad in Highland, but it will do in a pinch. :)

There is only enough room for one to sit!

These next pictures are all from our Utah Summer trip.

I just think this is a funny picture of my family's hideous beast Maggie. She would be very lovable to me except for her tremedous drooling. I can't pet her or enjoy her presence for fear that she will get some of her disgusting, foamy, slimey and excessive drool on me!

I just love this one I caugh of Kenny on the living room floor. He has such beautiful eyes.

Kenny climbed into his Uncle Cody's arms during a movie and Lexi decided to enjoy Uncle Cody's rump for the picture. :)

For the Fourth of July we had a BBQ and marshmallow roast. Carl made a huge, rip-roaring fire for it without any help or lighter fluid. He was having a marvelous time. :) Life doesn't get much better than that for most men, eh?

Lexi roasted two giant marshmallows to match the giant fire! With Daddy's help, of course.

Kenny in a 'Coon Hat at Cabella's

Lexi at the Splash Pad.

Lexi being her sweet self and wearing my hat. So cute!

Kenny is so cute in my hat too!
Other news: Baby is due in 4 weeks! Of course, I will be quite happy if he comes anytime after 38 weeks. Because Carl will be around by that time and early is great as long as little Barret is healthy! So maybe Baby Bear will come in two weeks! I better not get my hopes up, but it sure would be nice. :)
Baby Bear is wigglying good everyday as I do his kick counts. His feet always get caught up in my ribs, just like Lexi's did! At least he is head down. :)
I still am real tired from anemia. I was taking a different supplement that seemed to be working better, but it was so expensive ($24 for a 2 week supply!) that I decided to try a new one. But it just isn't doing the trick, so I will probably go back to the first iron supplement I took until Baby comes.
We still don't know where we are going to end up, but a new possibility might be opening up soon that would be just about perfect. A facility that has the program Carl wants to specialize in is opening up in Colorado. So we would be closer too family, and it would have all the benefits that the Illinois facility has. I hope we find out something soon! It is aggravating and annoying having soooo much up in the air right now.
Lexi is smart as ever and doing so well with reading and spelling. She has a real love for learning. She loves FHE and askes to hear more stories to go with the scriptural pictures. Everyday when I take a rest she requests that I tell her a story. I don't really like telling stories, I would much rather READ one, but Iguess it is good exercise for my brain. :) While I take something like a nap, she plays peacefully in my room. She is such a good girl, and a good helper. I am very blessed to have her. :)
Everyday she tells me,
(then waits for my response, which varies from, ""Yes, Honey?" to, "What?!" depending on how many, "Mommy?"s I hear.) :)
"I love you."
"I love you too." I say in return (always with a smile).
Kenny is less of a Momma's Boy these days, although on;y Mommy will due when he gets hurt. I love how he says, "Need kiss!" and as soon as he gets the kiss, he is good to go! A love how the "Magic Kiss" heals everything! I wish it would stay that way . . . He getting better amd better at speaking, even though he already speaks great! Tonight he came out of his bed requesting his, "Choo choo" (Thomas the Tank Engine toy). When I said I didn't know where it was, he said, "I'll find it. Is it under the bag?"He is speaking in good full sentences now.
He's a sweet little gentleman. The other day I was about to stand up from sitting on the ground, a task is not any easy one these days! As I was about to grunt and get up with much effort, Kenny grabbed my hand and tried to help me up! It wasn't very helpful, of course, but I thought it was sure sweet!
He is still my crazy little nut. He loves to laugh and be silly. He and Lexi can both get into quite the silly mode and then they are quite to pair of heyenas (sp?).
Well, that is all for now. I better go. It is late, I am tired and I still need to pack a tiny bit more.

To Best Friends

First off, I am without a computer while it gets repaired, and so I am
reduced to being an iPhone blogger once again. :(

However, the main point of this post was to thank my Best Friend,
Priscilla, for the awesome baby clothes she sent in the package. I
like them so much I wanted to post them on my blog! :) (Am I a
doofus, or what?)

My kids like the caterpillar one the best, but I am partial to green,
so I especially like the turtle outfits.

I also want to brag about my BF fir her other great qualities.
Priscilla is such a good friend and I am lucky to have found her while
we were in West Virginia. A more genuine, kind and considerate friend/
person could not be found. She is also a very loving, devoted and
hard working wife and mother. Plus she is quite intelligent to boot!
