Happenings

Well, I suppose it is time to blog again. But, what about? I haven't been in the bloggy mood lately, which probably has a lot to do with this:
Is it a . . .
Girl?

or Boy?

In case you can't tell (or didn't already know), we are expecting a new arrival! Coming in September! September 26th, actually. We are all excited, and Lexi says it is going to be a girl. I am hoping for another girl this time around too. When I asked her if it was going to be a boy (brother) she said, "I already have one of those." I thought it was a classic line! And laughed and laughed. :)

I have been feeling pretty sick and tired once again. And let me tell ya, I am getting sick and tired of being sick and tired! However, since I am 12 weeks, I am almost finished with the first trimester, so hopefully I will be feeling like myself again soon!

This past week was a little rougher though. Lexi and meself both got terrible head colds resulting in lots of nose stuffiness and dripping (yum), many sneezes, headaches, sore throat(for me) and a sinus infection and ruptured eardrum(thankfully, just me). Lexi fared the sickness rather well and complained of an earache for 1 1/2 days and then never more! I was very glad. She is now all better. I am still on the mend, but I don't think I will need any antibiotics since my eardrum already popped and my sinuses don't hurt anymore. BTW, the ear problem developed and ruptured withing 5 hours, so I didn't have time to seek out antibiotics or anything else. I think it was a matter of increased pressure from nose blowing and congestion that did it anyway. Not infection. And I don't feel safe taking decongestant when I am pregnant, so that didn't seem to be an option either(never seemed to work for me anyway).

All in all, a very tiring week.

Kenny had a loverly birthday in UT (a different upcoming post), and we interviewed midwives. I still haven't decided on which one I want, and it is aggravating me. It is a tough decision! I feel perfectly secure in having a midwife attended birth in a birthing center, but I want to find just the right midwife.

So, you're probably wondering Why_In_The_Heck we went and interviewed midwives in UT, right? Well, here is the lowdown on what is going to happen with this baby. We will be finished here in LA right around when baby is due. And we don't know where we are going after that, and won't know for a little while. Heck, I don't even know when we are supposed to find out. Suffice it to say, where we will be residing when baby # 3 is due to make their appearance is very up in the air. Personally, I don't like having anything up in the air when it comes to giving birth except for the timing, since I don't really have control over that (since I don't want a planned Cesarean or Induction). Almost all mothers feel this way, I am betting. We need to feel security in what we do have control over since we really don't have any control over birth, not really. Anyway, so we are going to travel to UT ever other month to see my midwife in UT and then the last month of my pregnancy me and my kidlets will stay in UT with my family in Highland and I will actually have a baby with family around! I hope it will be nice. :)

We also plan on having a midwife here for prenatal care on the months we don't travel to UT.

Yeah, it sounds crazy, but I feel pretty darn good about it. If only I could decide on the midwife!

Kenny's naptime

He fell asleep in the Stinkbug position amid a sea of toys. Very
cozy, eh?
