Just What I Have Been Looking For!!!

This_Is_Great. I love this site!!!

This site all by itself is fantastic, if you love to sew. Full of lots of splendid ideas and tutorials!

I shall leave you all with these pictures:

The Real Me

Not very flattering, but how I look most days at home with my kids.
No makeup, boring hair, a bit frumpy.
For some reason, I like it . . .

This one is dubbed, "Belle and the Duck"

Why? Because Lexi picked out her princessey church dress which was yellow, which meant Belle (of the Disney princesses, of course) and I was to be The Princess and the Frog so I had a green dress and a green hippo as my frog. But oh no! What's this? Now we don't match seeing as Lexi has no animal that matches her dress and is her friend. So she snatched her duck, and declared that she was, "Belle and the Duck!"

Oh, and she dressed me, BTW. Picked out my dress and told me to put on my "princess shoes" (church shoes).

Cute. Creative. Quirky and Fun.

That's my girl.

:)

And we can't forget, Kenny is so handsome and happy!

Quirks

Lexi cracks me up. Well, both my little monkeys do. But this post is about Lexi. She is so quirky and creative. Yesterday she decided to make "Toilet Paper Pizza" I was getting ready for the day and she was keeping me company. I wasn't very entertaining at the moment, so she entertained herself. She plucked pieces of TP of the roll, would roll them into balls and drop them on the bathroom rug, all the while saying to herself, "You take the toilet paper, roll is up and put it on the pizza." Mmmmm, toilet paper pizza. I salivate at the thought! :)

These pictures below are from when I was sewing and let her have the special privilege of playing with my pins (Kenny was napping and she was careful). Both of my kids hanker for the pincusion whenever I sew. But the never get to have it!!! Therefore it was a VERY special privilege.. I was real pleased with the creative outcome from allowing pincushion play to come to pass.

The green ribbon rose is, "Baby Cow" and the pins are it's cage.

Apparentely it was gonna run away.
This is just a fun picture from playing at the park with Daddy.

Snow White Lexi made a store with Momma's ironing board.

I just had to go shopping!
Lexi surprised me with this performance a couple of days ago.
She emerged from a recent trip to the bathroom with these on her head!
*Straight from her toosh, too! Yuck!*

Gotta love my quirky girl!

Skirt for Momma

I want to post a link that I can find again when I actually get around to making myself a skirt. A peasant skirt, to be exact. I love those things!

Anyhoo, here it is. Hopefully somebody else can use it too. It is pretty darn useful, with a calculator that tells you exactly what measurements to make even!!!

Lexi's Skirt

I took some photos of some friends this past Saturday, which was a great learning experience and tiring. But fun as well! They were so easy to photograph and so cute. What a sweet family! Anyhoo, on that same day I took a few of Lexi in the skirt that I made for her using the ruffle skirt tutorial from a link in my previous post. She likes it, methinks. :)

Kenny still has scrumptious chubber cheeks!

Lexi likes to twirl these days.
She is getting her princess on!

She is a great little model, with all the great poses she does!

Love my girl.

Peek a boo!

Trick or Treat!

Not a very original title, nor an original post, it's true. We hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween! Next up, Thanksgiving! Carl declared tonight that Thanksgiving is his favorite holiday because you get to sit around, eat good food, and watch/play football. :) How could it get any better???

Here are our Halloween pics:

Lexi riding a pony at Kenneth Village
(here I am thinking, as I look at this picture, "Get your hand off my daughter's butt, buddy!"
I know it was a precautionary action, but still!)

Kenny was a charming turtle.

Here Kenny is playing in the bounce house and keeping up with the big boys!

Yeah Kenny!

Lexi in her Princess getup.
She was Snow White, as you see.

Lexi is growing up! With such a winning smile too.

Trick or Treating at Montrose Shopping Park

(Kenny wouldn't hold his bag, he just wanted a candy.
After he got one he would drop the bag full of the rest on the ground.)

Trick or Treat!
