What I Love About My Kids

I decided that I it would be nice to write down 5 of the many things (per kid) that I love about my 2 little ones. For there are so many to name, but at times when Kenny is determined to be a little barnickle (i.e. he doesn't want to be put down) and Lexi is having one of her Little Miss Quite Contrary moments, I forget a little bit. Don't we all? So . . . Lexi first.

Mommy Loves Lexi!

1. I love how smart she is. She memorizes books and loves to "read" them to her stuffed animals or to her parents. Some times when we read to her, she will snatch the book from us and say, "Let me read it!" Ha!

2. I love how she loves to help me cook. When I have a cup of . . . something and she wants to pour it in she says, "I want to dump it!" in her commanding voice. (Does she hear that voice from me? . . .)

3. I love her big beautiful blue eyes.

4. I love how sweet she is with her baby brother. She loves to check on him when he is napping and kiss him and she tries to share with him. She is such a good big sister!

5. I love how independent she is, although it does frustrate me when we are walking and she won't hold my hand because she "wants to walk!" by herself.

Mommy Loves Kenny!

1. I love his fat little self! He is getting so chunky and it is so cute!

2. I love how me makes a little Popeye face :) when he gets grouchy.

3. I love how he loves to be with his mommy, although sometimes I wish he would give me a break.

4. I love his cute little smile and when he coos at me.

5. I love his beautiful blue eyes too! And his fat cheeks! (Okay, that is two things. Oh well.)

Alright, I guess that is all for tonight.

I tried to take some cute pix 2 days ago when it was lovely outside and the kids were lookin' cute and happy. Plus, I need practice taking shots of children. It is a lot harder than I thought. Lexi didn't want to stay put and Kenny was squirmy and grumped a good bit. Still, I think these turned out well.
Here Kenny is thinking, "Save me , Mommy!" Lexi smothers him with kisses and squshes him with hugs often. And mommy does have to come to the rescue. : ) I love this picture though. It is so full of cuteness and character! Lexi is just such a beautiful kid. What else can I say?
This cute little guy can go from this . . .
. . . to this in two seconds flat! Notice the brandished fist.
But here we have two relatively content and happy looking children.

Lexi Lumpkin's Birthday!

Well, it was a week ago, this birthday. But I most certainly did not forget it! I decorated Ladybug cupcakes the night before with Kenny in the sling-carrier. I just forgot to make note here. So, here are some loverly pix that I took with the marvelous camera from my Pappy (thanks "Pappy" : ) As you can see I figured out how to download them!).

Long time, no write!

Me and my beautiful chillin's

A wise Lexi holds an insane (and plump) Kenny :)

Long time, no write?
Well, kinda. Depends on what kind of blogger I am, I suppose. Under normal circumstances I would probably blog once every 1-2 weeks. But since the arrival of little Kenneth, I blog maybe once a month. I tried to blog a week ago, but the darn computer froze up and then died. I just love my computer!

Well, what is new around here? . . Well, it is warmer. A lot warmer! Spring has sprung, and we are oh-so-glad! I took Lexi and Kenny to the park the other day. Kenny was in the sling while I chased Lexi around. it worked out quite well. I love my sling!

What else ? . . The semester is almost ending, and I am quite glad because then Carl won't be getting home so late. It is nice to have some real adult conversation and have an extra pair of hands to help with our two crazy children! (Lexi is currently the crazy-est, but Kenny will catch up soon enough.) Plus I am just plain happy to spend time with Carl.

I am quite proud of how domesticly productive I have been today. Baked muffins with Lexi, made dinner on time, went for a walk with Lexi in stroller and Kenny in sling, cleaned bathroom, tidied my room and vacuumed. While managing a baby and toddler! I feel like I have done well today. *I am sure all of you mothers of more than two are inwardly groaning. But I'll catch up someday, then I can groan as well! Ha! :) *

Lexi has no more cast. We took it off when it got drenched. Which was several days ago and it still isn't dry!

Okay, that's all folks! Bye!

More Pix

Well, Kenny is getting nice and plump. He is almost 11 pounds, which makes me so glad and relieved. Why? Because I am nursing him exclusively and when I had Lexi I had a lot of problems and wasn't able to do so with her.

*I am really craving chocolate chip cookies right now . . .*

Here is another random note before I put up new pictures. When Kenny cries, his chin quivers! It is cute!

Here are two new pictures:

Lexi and Kenny on Easter

Lexi's broken arm. The break is right next to the band-aid. Forget the heart, it has no purpose. I couldn't take it off. : )
